Harvey is a pooka, a benign but mischievous creature from Celtic mythology who is especially fond of social outcasts. Yes, he appeared along side Jimmy Stewart in the 1950 film, “Harvey.” A pooka is a shapeshifter and can take any form it chooses. So today, he looks a little like the form he took on for the movie. He’d be happy to join you at the bar on your next visit.
About this handmade art monster: Harvey is one of my Frankenstein Monsters creations. He is a one-of-a-kind adjustable puppet paper dolls made from recycled paper, plastic, paint, rubber, metal, string and wood. He is approximately 4”x 6” in size with a 2" twine hanger. Each of my monsters has a unique name and personality.
These little creatures are sturdy but not intended as toys for children. Hang them on a tree or wall, frame them in a shadow box or collect several and have your very own puppet show.
